After skipping out on her court appearance earlier today, an unhappy Judge William D. Stewart immediately issued a warrant for the Arrest of Katie Lynn Birchard.  Birchard was due to show up in court to answer to allegations that she'd violated her court orders demanding the speedy and permanent removal of libelous and defaming material found on her blogs and websites.  An additional Contempt of Court charge for the skipped appearance was requested but is unconfirmed as of this writing.  Contempt of Court carries a maximum penalty of 6 months in Jail for each count as well as the possibility of large monetary fines in addition to the aforementioned jail time.

Google Inc. Permanently Removes "Forget The Talkies," "Perpetual Flapper" & Others From Its' Servers

Over a period of more than a decade, Katie Lynn Birchard, under the guise of "Hala Pickford" & many other aliases, has written hundreds of libelous & offensive blogs, sending Homophobic, Anti-Semitic, Hateful messages, as well as intentionally & methodically defaming the characters of dozens of groups & individuals, including Zachary Jaydon, Tracy Terhune, Stella Grace, Cinecon, David Bret, The Silent Treatment (TST), Bob Birchard, Hugh Munro Neely, www.NitaNaldi.com & its' creators, Donna Hill, www.Nitrateville.com, The Silent Movie Theatre, The Pickford Institute, Hollywood Heritage & more.

In the midst of multiple lawsuits, court issued restraining orders, & criminal allegations, Birchard's blogs have swiftly begun to disappear. The problem is, Birchard isn't responsible for the blogs disappearances, and in the back of her own mind, feels that she can potentially put the blogs back up without consequences.  Birchard isn't smart enough to realize that all of these blogs are saved to a Google Inc. cache and has been subpoenaed by court systems in several jurisdictions.  Removing the blogs may convince a judge that Birchard should avoid potential jail time or more serious consequences, however, her own words will most definitely be used as crucial evidence against her. Circuit Courts in the State of Florida have recently began a quiet, but large scale investigation of Birchard stemming from her continuing harassment of Zachary Jaydon as well as an implied threat of violence against a laundry list of individuals.  The problem with her case? She arrogantly believes she is calling the shots inside any courtroom, commanding whom she will and will not speak/answer to as well as having a no-regrets attitude.  She has as recently as May 4th, 2011, stated that she is moving all of the libelous information that was removed to another server, claiming that they aren't permanently gone. Her court appearances are now beginning to pile up on both sides of the country, and with so much evidence against her, she needs to start taking these orders seriously; otherwise, the only blogs she will be writing are with a #2 pencil, behind the bars of a prison cell.

Hala Pickford Served With TWO Additional Mandatory Court Appearances At Yesterday's Hearing

(Continuing...)  Burbank, California

Katie Lynn Birchard has been served yet again at the Burbank, California Courthouse.  Birchard was slapped with  additional mandatory court appearances at yesterdays' court appearance in which her personal and business finances were being scrutinized.  The first additional appearance stems from pending Contempt of Court charges in connection with the more than $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) judgement issued against her, in which she was ordered to remove all libelous or defamatory information pertaining to Tracy Terhune & others but has since re-posted the violating material multiple times, even after the offensive material was forcefully removed by Google Inc. 

Birchard recently reposted all of the offensive and libelous material on her websites, before making them available for viewing "by invite only." She foolishly believes that just because it's hidden from general public view that it doesn't violate her court order. The proper authorities have been notified, and Google Inc. is cooperating fully in providing all of the content hidden behind the "curtain," per the Burbank, California Court order to be examined by Judge William D. Stewart in a future court hearing.

Google is also fully cooperating in a court order to provide i.p. addresses, deleted files, file caches etc. for her other libelous blogs. Google Inc. is in the process of releasing all pertinent information to assist in a court issued permanent injunction protecting Zachary Jaydon from Birchard due to years of harassment, libel & recent threats of violence.  Because of the strong indication of impending violent action and the admission that Birchard is armed at all times, Florida has the ability to issue a warrant for Birchard's arrest and to hear the case in Florida without the use of service to Birchard.  She will then be responsible for finding her way back to California without any obligation of help from the State of Florida.  Jaydon has sought such an arrest warrant & is said to be making his 3rd appearance before a judge to go over all files provided by Google directly to the courts at the end of May.

"Hala Pickford" Shows Up 2+ Hours Late To Latest Court Hearing; Creates Mystery "LLC" In Wyoming - Allegedly To Conceal Funds, A Felony

(BREAKING)  Burbank, California

Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA "Hala Pickford," in her sheer arrogance, has once again decided that she calls the shots & creates the rules.  Pickford showed up nearly two-and-a-half hours late. (She must have been distracted by Rudolph Valentino's birthday celebrations & all.) Little does she know she narrowly missed a bench warrant being issued for her arrest for Contempt of Court.  During the examination, Ms. Birchard neurotically gave an eye-opening rant, providing direct insight into just how far she'll go to escape justice.

After Birchard finally stormed in with all the class of a rabid buffalo, she initially refused to cooperate with court proceedings. Her appearance was mandatory in connection with the more than $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) judgement issued against her in September, 2010 for Libel & Defamation of Character. She was quickly admonished by the court bailiff, and ordered to cooperate in the financial examination to determine the amount of money she must pay each month towards her ever increasing debt to Tracy Terhune.  Ms. Birchard initially revealed that she had set up an L.L.C. in the State of Wyoming and that all assets had been diverted through this mystery company and declined to give further details.

Further along in the examination, Birchard admitted on court record that she has yet to pay Mr. Terhune a penny and has no intentions to do so in the future.  Birchard also admitted midway through the examination that the mysterious "Wyoming L.L.C." that she'd supposedly set up was incomplete, and declined to give any further details including her partners and other details required by law during a financial examination.  

Ms. Birchard chooses to ignore that court ordered interest is accruing to Tracy Terhune, and in the realm of 10% per year, Birchard must pay over $1,000.00 (One-Thousand Dollars) per month just to keep up with accumulating interest charges, which doesn't begin to touch the principle amount of $100,000. (One-Hundred Thousand Dollars)  Birchard also neglects to realize that any attempt to shift money, financial records or the transfer of cash in an attempt to thwart a court-ordered financial judgement is a Felony in the State of California, punishable by fines and/or prison time.  This would include creating an L.L.C. and shifting any finances or financial interest, no matter the State.  Any future business venture between Katie Lynn Birchard or any of her aliases and with any partner must be fully disclosed to the court, and any income generated therein will be garnished by the court until her financial obligation is paid in full.

We find it interesting that Ms. Birchard can afford to pay incorporation & business startup fees, yet is too "broke" to afford to pay any legal filing fees, for legal representation, or to pay any part of her court ordered debt to Mr. Tracy Terhune.

Hala Pickford Accused Of Contempt Of Court In $100,000 Lawsuit; Faces Possible Fines/Jail Time If Convicted

(BREAKING)  Burbank, California

According to official court documents obtained from the Burbank, California Superior Court, Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA "Hala Pickford" is now facing pending criminal charges stemming from Contempt of Court charges filed today.

In September, 2010 Terhune was awarded $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollars) and a permanent injunction protecting himself and others from Birchard's online wrath & web of lies that has resulted in Google Inc. pulling dozens of her blogs per the same court order.  The aforementioned order was a result of more than 18 months of constant barrages of vicious lies and rumors authored exclusively by Birchard including falsehoods alleging that Terhune was plotting along with other silent-film authors to maim and kill her.  She has also alleged that Terhune would be "drinking her blood..." at the Valentino Memorial and claims that all of her legal troubles stem from the fact that she publicly declared that Valentino was a heterosexual.  After Google Inc. removed nearly 4 dozen posts in October, 2010 libelously referencing Terhune, Birchard maliciously reposted the very same violating material beginning in December, 2010 and it was once again deemed to violate her court order and Google Inc. removed the violating posts a second time in January, 2011.  Perhaps the most ironic of all of the recent twists in the case; it will be heard on May 6th, 2011; Rudolph Valentino's birthday.

Also filed today & to be heard on May 6th, 2011 is an "Order To Appear For Examination."  According to the official court documents, which state that "Application And Order For Appearance and Examination"  and adds "You are ordered to appear personally before the court to furnish information to aid in enforcement of a money judgment against you."  According to Burbank, California Superior Court Clerks, If Birchard misses her court date for any reason, a warrant for her arrest can be immediately issued.  This is an additional scoop of bad news for Birchard, whom has repeatedly "called in sick' for her court appearances in the past.  Pickford has also been allegedly labeled an "evader" by the Burbank, California Sheriffs Department, as she blockades herself into her residence, refusing to accept any service of legal documents.  According to sources, this is not going to be an option in this case, as the wheels have already been set in motion to have Birchard issued a "Service By Publication," a little known, but very effective way to deal with evasive individuals, refusing to accept a traditional service of court documents.

To say that Ms. Birchard's luck has run out is an understatement.  Now that the scenery has moved from civil to criminal, Ms. Birchard could find herself facing potential fines and or jail time in addition to a $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) civil judgement already decided against her.

Has Katie Lynn Birchard Really Pulled The Plug On Hala Pickford?

Katie, dearest Katie.

Must you always make these feeble attempts to compromise our intelligence by telling us that you've finally changed your fraudulent ways?  Must you always come up with new and creative ways to victimize yourself, creating imaginary situations and twisting even the most proven facts to self-loathe?  Do you, for one second, believe that you have fooled us into thinking that you're behaviour has been modified in any way to include class, professionalism, or the smallest mite of tact?  Are you indeed murdering "Hala Pickford," and taking from us all of the hate, homophobia, lies and vicious half-truths, or is this yet another attempt to publicly gain sympathy from the few members of your "audience?"

Katie Lynn Birchard, you have all the class of a diarrheal fart in a packed church house during prayer time.  In your 23 years, you have never once accomplished anything of value.  You never completed high-school. You never attempted college.  Your singing career made even the strongest of stomachs turn.  Your silent-film career was over before it started, and not because of your declaration of Rudolph Valentino's sexuality.  Your career ended when you began publicly attacking the work and character of dozens of silent-film professionals, of whom needed no self-declaration of such.  Some of these people/organizations have been around for decades, and have happily included newcomers, "youngin's" and the like.  You are no longer welcome because even after you were embraced with open arms and afforded all of the privileges such as free festival tickets, the offer of research help and honest advice on how to get your foot in the door, you so arrogantly kicked us all in the balls and told us that we were all wrong and that you knew better.  You so foolishly took on dozens of individuals with longstanding professional reputations and thought that you could "debunk" all of us without the thought of consequences. (How has that been working out for you, Katie?)

When you began to publicly attack us, both physically and on your hate blogs, did you really think that we would continue to sit idly by and remain silent?  Did you really believe that you would not someday face the consequences of your actions?  Can you honestly say now, that it was worth it?  Was your foolish arrogance worth losing any hope of financial security you might ever have had?  $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollars) is nothing to bawk at, Katie.  Do you realize that you most likely will never be able to pay that debt?  Do you realize that not even bankruptcy will rid you of that judgment.  Do you realize that there are dozens more with the ammunition, money and gumption to sue you for the same amount or more?  Do you realize that they would also most likely prevail, especially given the burden of proof, as well as your previous case history?

Do you remember mocking a certain individual last year, in regards to the threat of legal action, telling him to "Bring it on! It will be fun!"  Do you remember making comments that you "created this blog, full well knowing that it could go to court someday."  Do you remember how you felt when The Honorable William D. Stewart handed down that $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) judgment and awarded that amount to Tracy Terhune, whom by "clear and convincing evidence," had proven, in the eyes of the court, that you were  100% guilty of Libel and Defamation of Character beyond any reasonable doubt?  Are you so arrogant and uneducated, that you think you can continue to post defamatory content about Terhune on Google, when a judge clearly granted him a "Permanent Injunction" protecting him from your filth and lies?

Where are your supporters, Katie?  Do you realize that only 3 (Three) people in the entire world came forward to express any kind of support for you, your "Hala Pickford" alias or any of your projects?   Where are your supporters, Katie?  Not even your own authors have issued any sort of  public support for you.  Are your authors now knowledgeable about your offensive ways and scrambling to end their projects with you?  If not, where are they? Where are you, Christopher DiGrazia?  Where are you Rachel A. Schildgen? Where are you, Megan Hussey?  Where are you, Evelyn Zumaya, the very woman that let her own father die unattended, while you paraded around a Burbank courthouse unnecessarily, as you were not even invited to give testimony.  Where are your representatives at Lightning Source, Katie?  Where is Hugh Munro Neely?  Where is your imaginary boyfriend that you supposedly moved in with?

Why have the Burbank Police Detectives repeatedly declined to offer you any support?   Why have the courts in Burbank, California not offered you any assistance, and constantly shot down your ludicrous claims of "harassment?" Why have the UK Authorities declined to pursue your false claims to fear for your life?  Why can you not provide any legitimate links to any of the con-artist claims you throw out on your other hate blogs?  Why do you fail, time and time again, to provide scans or copies of court-documents supporting your claims?  You can't, because they don't exist.

Why do you claim to sleep with Mace under your pillow and an axe beside your bed, but continue to publicly taunt the very people you claim to fear?  Why do you claim to have had nervous breakdown after nervous breakdown, but refuse to change your lifestyle or situation?  Do you really believe that anyone cares whom your having sex with, what your sexuality is, or what you look like?  No one gives two shits. The fact that you are as ugly on the outside as you are inside is the real "paradox" in all of this.  Usually, someone of your physical appearance would make twice the effort to have a sparkling personality, because let's face it...  when you look like you do, picking up anyone is going to be damned near impossible without one.

For such a firm believer in "Karma," you have yet to realize that you are now reaping what you have sowed for most of your wasted life.  None of us want you to kill Katie Lynn Birchard, but by all means, we fully support you in taking  "Hala Pickford" off of life-support.  Kill "Forget The Talkies."  "Kill" all of the demons inside of you and seek some long-term psychological help. "Hala Pickford" has nothing left to live for.  She is the most loathed individual in silent-film circles and doesn't command even the smallest degree of respect.  "Hala Pickford" will never be able to make up for her past short-comings.

We all hope and pray that something good has come from the "end" of "Hala Pickford" and "Forget The Talkies," but none of us believe that she is really gone.  If Katie Lynn Birchard had really learned a lesson from "Hala Pickford," there would be no "Forget The Talkies."  There would be no "BDB" Blog.  There would be no "FF" blog. There would be no mention of "Hala Pickford's" rants anywhere anymore.  The "end" of "Hala Pickford" would have resulted in the end of all of those things as well.

We all believe "Hala Pickford" is, if nothing else, "dormant."  Katie Lynn Birchard hasn't "killed" her at all.  She's simply put her on ice for a minute, until "Pickford" is needed to do your vile, character-assasination dirty work again.  Katie Lynn Birchard doesn't have the savvy to "eliminate" her.  She's merely putting her on hold until further notice.

Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA, "Hala Pickford" - A Timeline Of Libel & Hate

Dear Readers,

Since "Hala Pickford" has such mental issues & frequent nervous breakdowns, causing her to forget her own name, let alone a time line of events, we thought we'd refresh the memories of our readers, in case there were some confusions about what happened when.  You see, during one of her famous meltdowns, "Pickford" warped her psyche into once again believing that she is the victim and astonishingly believes that she hasn't brought any of this upon herself.

For your consideration, below is a time line of events leading up to where we are today. You're free to draw your own conclusions, but we think it's painfully obvious just who started her own "shitstorm." It's unfortunate for her that she didn't bring an umbrella.

12/19/2000  -  Katie Lynn Birchard, under the guise "Kaja Mundy" began to publicly harass and victimize *NSYNC fans in chat rooms and forums dedicated to supporting the band.  This is the first publicly documented set of incidents in a long list of debacles in which Birchard creates aliases to libel and harass people under a veil of anonymity.

Spring, 2007 - Katie Lynn Birchard, under the guise "Hala Kitty" begins an incessant character assassination rampage against Zachary Jaydon on her blog titled, "The Popstress Proclamations."  The blog was purportedly intended to expose the world to international pop music, however, quickly became Birchard's exclusive outlet to libel Mr. Jaydon.  Rumors have circulated that "Hala" expressed a romantic interest in Jaydon and was turned away, prompting the libelous postings that have continued for nearly 4 years.

October, 2009  -  Katie Lynn Birchard, under the guise of "Hala Pickford" continues her targeting of www.NitaNaldi.com creators, including Donna Hill. A day later, renowned, Valentino author and authority, Tracy Terhune came to the defense of Ms. Hill prompting Birchard to go on a tirade against them both which continues even until today.

December 26, 2009  -  Tracy Terhune posts a 1 page expose' of "Hala Pickford," publicly exposing her as Katie Lynn Birchard to the silent-film community.  Birchard, "livid" and embarrassed that she has been publicly exposed files multiple DMCA complaints against the website in the hopes that it will be  shut-down and go unnoticed.  The silent-film community did take notice and subsequently rallied in support of Terhune, a long-standing member.

February, 2010  -  Katie Lynn Birchard files her first of nearly a half-dozen requests for a legal order of restraint against various individuals, starting with Tracy Terhune in a Burbank, California Courthouse.  Although she brags that she had received a temporary restraining order against Terhune, such an order was never given and a copy of the official court documents will be posted here soon.  The court documents were explicitly stamped "NO TEMPORARY ORDERS ISSUED PENDING FULL HEARING."  It was stamped a total of 4 times in bright red font.

April 12, 2010  -  Birchard's complaint against Terhune was denied and dismissed without prejudice.  Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA, "Hala Pickford" was never granted a restraining order involving Mr. Terhune, although she has tried to insinuate that she has many times.  At the same hearing, Birchard was subsequently served with a $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) lawsuit by Terhune's legal team.  Terhune was suing Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA "Hala Pickford" for Libel and Defamation of Character.

April 21st, 2010  -  Katie Lynn Birchard anonymously creates and begins posting on the "Boycott David Bret" blog, which quickly turns into her flagship blog of hate and malice directed towards not only David Brett, but Zachary Jaydon, Tracy Terhune, The Silent Treatment (TST), Bob Birchard, Stella Grace, Hugh Munro Neely, Cinecon, www.NitaNaldi.com & its' creators, Donna Hill, www.Nitrateville.com, The Silent Movie Theatre, The Pickford Institute, Hollywood Heritage, & far too many more to mention.  She was "livid" when she was "outed" as the author of the website, and has posted nearly 250,000 words to date, including several posts which were forcefully removed by Google, as they violated numerous court orders and orders of protection against her.

August, 2010  -  

  -  Katie Lynn Birchard continues to file restraining orders, this time targeting UK author, David Bret, in which she criminally falsified court documents and signed said documents under the penalty of perjury.

  -   Battery charges are filed against Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA "Hala Pickford" for allegedly assaulting Stella Grace at a silent-film screening in Hollywood.  Several witnesses confirmed to us that Birchard violently attacked Ms. Grace and attempted to destroy her mobile phone, which Birchard later claimed was a "big blue 80's camera."  Birchard herself also summoned the police and unsuccessfully attempted to have Tracy Terhune arrested for what remains unclear.  Ms. Birchard was interviewed by the police at the event and was asked by law enforcement officials to immediately leave the venue.

  -  Katie Lynn Birchard files yet another request for a legal order of restraint, this time against well-respected head of Cinecon volunteers, Stella Grace.

  -  Burbank, California Sheriffs submit official documentation that Katie Lynn Birchard has falsified official court documents and enter into record that the address that Birchard falsely provided "does not exist."  An  official investigation into perjury allegations is ongoing.

September, 2010  -  The Honorable Judge William Stewart denied Katie Lynn Birchard's request for a restraining order against UK author, David Bret and silent-film enthusiast, Stella Grace. The orders were dismissed without prejudice due to a lack of merit or evidenciary support.

-  Katie Lynn Birchard was found guilty of Libel and Defamation of Character and was ordered to pay more than $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollars) to Valentino authority, Tracy Terhune.   The judge based his decision exclusively on "clear and convincing evidence" that Birchard had maliciously and calculatingly attempted to destroy the character of Terhune by intentionally libeling him on her various websites and blogs. The Honorable Judge William D. Stewart additionally ordered Birchard to remove any and all libelous postings in regards to Mr. Terhune and to post nothing further.  Terhune was issued "a permanent injunction"  by the courts to protect him from Ms. Birchard and her erratic behaviour.  She continues to violate this court-order on a regular basis.

December, 2010  -  Google Inc, in compliance with a court order, forcefully removes nearly 30 libelous blog posts from Birchard's "Forget The Talkies" after Birchard refused to abide by her court-order to remove them herself.  Birchard immediately began to repost the removed blogs. 

January, 2011

   -   After the massively successful launch of www.NitaNaldi.com, Katie Lynn Birchard files a DMCA complaint against the sites' owners and web-hosting company, falsely claiming that the information on the site was stolen from her.  The complaint was thrown out immediately and no action was ever taken in Birchard's favor.

  -     Google Inc once again forcefully removes nearly 30 of Katie Lynn Birchard's reposted blogs on her "Forget The Talkies" website that violate a court-order granted to Tracy Terhune to protect him from Birchard's Libel and Slander.  According to several sources, Google Inc. is in the midst of permanently removing all of Birchard's blogs and websites for violating their Terms of Service.

February, 2011  -  Katie Lynn Birchard, under the guise "Hala Pickford" publicly admits that she has had a nervous breakdown and is now armed at all times.  Birchard claims that this is the end of her "harassers"  reign and the end of "Hala Pickford."  It will be left to the courts to decide whether this is a threat against a vast number of people including David Bret, Tracy Terhune, Stella Grace, Hugh Monroe Neely, Zachary Jaydon, Donna Hill & others.

In her latest bout of insanity, "Pickford" additionally states that she was the one assaulted at the Hollywood movie screening, however, not only is this inaccurate, but I challenge Ms. Birchard to provide any sliver of evidenciary support to back up her claim.  No police report was ever filed by Birchard to substantiate this ridiculous claim, and according to nearly a dozen witnesses, including theatre employees, Katie Lynn Birchard attacked the female movie-goer without provocation.

If you are to believe Katie Lynn Birchard, you would have to believe that dozens of decade-old industry organizations are out to get "Hala Pickford."  You'd also have to believe that another dozen individuals with no prior knowledge of Birchard, communication with her nor motive to do so have teamed up to "get" Ms. Birchard and "slander her good name."  You would have to believe that all of these individuals and organizations have joined forces exclusively to destroy her reputation, her business, her authors, and are secretly conspiring to kill her or "force" her to kill herself so that they may eliminate the guilt of her death.  You would have to believe that her passion for Rudolph Valentino's sexuality has caused such an uproar that people from California, Florida, The United Kingdom and elsewhere would all threaten to "do away" with her for merely mentioning Valentino's sexuality.

It's painfully obvious that Katie Lynn Birchard, AKA, "Hala Pickford" is mentally unstable, unbalanced and suffering from long-term mental illnesses that make her "professional" operations laughable at best.  By her own admission she's suffered from nervous breakdowns and has an ongoing anxiety disorder, which makes her claim to be armed all the more disturbing.  It's also obvious that any blog or website that mentions Ms. Birchard or one of her many aliases does so EXCLUSIVELY in an attempt to clear their names and to vindicate the names of the individuals/organizations that she has worked so hard to destroy the reputations of. Her claims that people are unwarrantably targeting or harassing her are bogus at best. She has spent over 10 years using the internet as a tool to viciously attack and destroy the character of many upstanding citizens.  There have been countless offers by various parties to remove any and all reference to Katie Lynn Birchard and her many aliases if she would remove her hateful rants about aforementioned people/organizations.

Queen Kooky, Hala Pickford - Is She Conning Authors Christopher DiGrazia & Megan Hussey?

Queen Kooky, Hala Pickford has come out of her feeding cave kitchen to give us all the "updates" she could muster up, ending her 2 month silence on her blogs trash sites.  As you would expect from Ms. "Pickford," her update is riddled with unnecessary opinions, misspellings and grammatical errors. A piece of advice for Christopher DiGrazia and Megan Hussey - RUN LIKE HELL and hope to save your work and your professional reputation. Katie Lynn Birchard, A.K.A. "Hala Pickford," "Hala Kitty," "Hala Kuromi," "Kaja Mundy," etc is not someone you'd want to associate your name with under any circumstances. If her lack of professionalism in promoting your current work isn't enough to convince you, Google her name, and read all about her massive list of victims, the fact that she recently lost a $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) lawsuit for libel and slander, the restraining orders for battery and other accusations as well as a plethora of other bad press that you most likely wouldn't want to be tied in with.

"Pickford" (Legal Name, Katie Lynn Birchard) brags that her "NEW" 1921 PVG Publishing website looks "spiffy," but really it still looks like the same cheaply created blog filled with fabrications and ridiculous notions that her "masterpieces... need to be on your shelves."

The nice thing about her latest blog post, is that it shows you just how truly lazy "Pickford" is when it comes to taking care of her projects or authors.  If it can't be created in Microsoft Paint or cut, copied and pasted, it  just doesn't get done. "Pickford" lacks the most basic of graphic editing skills, is inept when it comes to the editing of books, and refuses to spend even the most insignificant amount of money on getting anything professionally done.  She clearly points out on her recent post:

"Also one thing you may notice about the PVG releases is they are mostly available through Google Books as e-books, and I really like this because it didn't make me format anything (Kindle did...and it was a disaster.)"

So, instead of taking the time to properly format her books, which her authors have spent months or years crafting, she half-asses the job because she doesn't know what she's doing, or worse yet, doesn't care.  There is a fine line between doing bad business and being a con-woman. In our opinion, "Pickford" is the latter. She uses dozens of aliases to slander and libel some of the most respected authors, and event coordinators in silent film in a futile attempt to bolster her own reputation.  She consistently engages in what we'd certainly call illicit business practices and by her own admission, takes shortcuts when it's her job to give 100%. A publisher at least owes an author that amount of courtesy, given that it takes months or even years to write a book.

It's also interesting to note the 1921 PVG Publishing release schedule. Each of the 3 books listed has come out months late, including her "beauty book" which as of today is nearly a year late for release. It's currently scheduled for never Autumn, 2011.  To focus on the positive of this, at least she's narrowed her releases down to a 3-4 month time-frame!

Thankfully, Google has a massive file on Hala Pickford's devious and shady business practices.

Martha The "Brick Layer" Speaks! (Hala Pickford, "¿Historian?")

Today, we have a special guest with us to help further our research on "Hala Pickford." There has been much confusion about her "meticulous research" that has been brought to our attention, and so, with the help of Martha The "Brick-Layer," we'd like to clarify some points for our readers.

--On October 19, 2009, Hala Pickford advised her many four followers on “How to Write a Silent Film Biography,” which you can read here, although we don’t recommend it. She begins this lesson by announcing:

"I hate self proclaimed titles. A lot of people like to dub themselves ‘experts’ or ‘authorities’ or ‘historians.’ I like to think those are titles one can only earn, but that doesn’t stop people from taking them. I could hear a million old gasp-y shocked breaths if I declared myself any of the above...I may be no Kevin Brownlow [ed. she got that one right] but I research everything meticulously. The Cinecon crowd might not like it but I probably deserve some such title or the other."

We would like to point out that although Miss Pickford “hates self proclaimed titles,” it took her only to the paragraphs' end to reward herself with one.

Miss Pickford usually does not hesitate to insult and belittle the work of others, even as she trumpets her own "mad skilz" as a historical researcher; but friends, we now have a golden opportunity to compare some of Hala Pickford’s “meticulous” research with the work done by some of the “old gasp-y” crowd. Let us contrast a few paragraphs from two online biographies of silent film star Nita Naldi: that by Hala Pickford  here, and than by some “old gaspers” on the website “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp."  After we finish this interesting exercise in critical thinking, you can decide for yourself exactly which title Miss "Pickford" deserves.

Hala Pickford tells us that “Nita was born Nonna Dooley in March 1895.” Hala doesn’t give us much in the way of sourcing for her biography, but she does drop this tidbit: she derives her information from the 1900 census, which the “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp” biographers have kindly posted here. Censuses are notoriously unreliable about such information, a fact Miss Pickford was warned about (repeatedly), but which she chose to ignore. The accurate Nita Naldi website states that Nita’s birth name was Mary Dooley and that her birth date was November 13, 1894. As evidence they supply Nita’s birth certificate, along with the birth and death certificates of Nita’s siblings, here.

Hala tells us that Nita’s brother was named “Frank Naldi” and that he joined Nita in creating a “song and dance act.” This interesting data point was apparently derived from the information on the 1900 and 1910 censuses, combined with the name “Daniel Francis” carved on the family gravestone (Click For Source), and a September 1924 newspaper interview with a Frank Naldi who claimed to be Nita’s brother. The accurate Nita Naldi website, however, states that Nita’s brother was named Daniel Aloysius Dooley, that he joined the Army, married, had a child, studied law, and worked in a bank. Their sources? Censuses, his draft registration, marriage and death records, and discussions with Nita’s family. His obituary (which can be read here) and his grandchildren support Silent Vamp biographers' version of events, rather than Hala Pickford’s.

Meticulous? You decide.

So who was this “Frank Naldi?” We queried the “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp” owners and received this response: “Not Nita’s brother.”

So who was this “Daniel Francis?” The Nita Naldi website has provided us with information from the cemetery interment record:

“Note: although the stone above the Cronin family plot is carved with five names, there are fifteen people, representing three generations and three marriage-related families (Dunphy, Cronin, and Dooley), buried in this plot. Most are infants, the children of Daniel and Margaret Dunphy Cronin (Nita’s maternal grandparents), and Nita’s infant siblings, the children of Patrick and Julia Cronin Dooley [ed. Nita’s parents]. The names carved on the stone are Nita, her mother Julia (Cronin) Dooley, Mary and Bridget Dunphy (the siblings of John and Sr. Mary Nonna Dunphy, and Margaret Dunphy Cronin), and Daniel Francis Cronin, infant son of Daniel and Margaret Dunphy Cronin.

In other words, “Daniel Francis” was Nita’s uncle... or he would have been had he lived.

Pickford also seems confused about the names carved on Nita’s gravestone, stating:

“...only her [Nita’s] mother would be buried under the name ‘Dooley,’ everyone else was buried under the name ‘Dunphy,’ likely an influence from Mary Nonna, or the fact that this was their grandmother’s maiden name.”

Pickford does not provide any analysis for this odd statement, but as the sourcing from the accurate Nita Naldi website illuminates, the other people listed on the Calvary Cemetery gravestone were called “Dunphy” because their name was indeed Dunphy.

Pickford discusses Nita’s mother.

“To make matters worse, Naldi’s mother soon took ill. Julia spent some of 1910 with her mother and children, but eventually was enumerated in the St Lawrence Hospital that year.”

Miss Pickford has not provided a citation for this statement and we do not find this information anywhere on the “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp” website. We queried the “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp” biographers, and received this response: 

"We presume this information was derived from an entry on the 1910 census, 1910; Census Place: Ogdensburg Ward 4, Saint Lawrence, New York; Roll: T624_1075; Page:10A; Enumeration District: 160; Image: 510. We do not include this on our site because we do not think everyone named Julia Dooley who lived in the State of New York was Nita’s mother.

The St. Lawrence Hospital in Ogdensburg, New York was a state-run facility in upstate New York for the care of the insane. If Nita’s mother was at such a facility she was more than likely legally committed through a court action, which means there might well be supporting documentation available. However, since we are not making the claim that the person on this census record is Nita’s mother, it is not our responsibility to look for it."

No, that would be Miss Pickford’s responsibility.

Later on, when discussing Nita’s marriage to J. Searle Barclay, Jr., Hala advises us first that the two were married for only a short time and then split; a few paragraphs later she contradicts herself, saying

"The pair had been together for eleven years when they separated...Naldi returned to New York, without her husband, in late 1931, under the name Nita Naldi Barclay."

There is no citation for this statement, but the “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp” website has provided us with this Ship’s Manifest for a port arrival on October 22, 1931, here. Nita Naldi Barclay is indeed listed on this manifest, at #13. However, right above Nita’s name, at #12, is Nita’s husband, Searle Barclay--and both give their addresses as the Plaza Hotel. We will go out on a limb and suggest that Nita and her husband did not get separate rooms. We queried the Silent Vamp biographers as to when, exactly, Naldi and her husband split up. Their response? “They didn’t.”

Perhaps our favorite howler occurs when Pickford discusses Nita’s father.

“Patrick appears to still have been alive in 1910, being enumerated in a boarding house not far from where his family lived. Of the boarders, there were two German widowers and a 28 year old Irish immigrant named Martha who was also said to be widowed. She had immigrated in 1906, leaving the possibility that Naldi’s parents had ended their marriage due to some sort of affair.”

Setting aside the incoherent sentence structure, this is a flimsy and downright dangerous speculation to suck from a census enumeration, which is, as usual, Pickford’s sole source. The interpretation becomes even more bizarre when we actually look at the census record itself, which the accurate Naldi website has kindly posted here.  The “28 year old Irish immigrant named Martha” (number 56 on the enumeration sheet) is, in fact, a 28 year old male bricklayer named Martin. While this would certainly put an interesting spin on the breakup of Nita’s family, it is—sadly—beyond the scope of this inquiry.

Finally, in the introductory paragraph of her Nita Naldi “biography,” Miss Pickford makes this surprising claim:

"Nitanaldi.com kindly stole research from this article without credit. Not surprising considering its run by Valentino Kookies."

We wonder. What “research” did the Nita Naldi website steal from Miss Pickford? (And why on earth would they want to?) Miss Pickford cannot even read the few records she has bestirred herself to find, and those few items she has found are all non-copyrightable public record—in other words, available for anyone to read, interpret, and cite. Hala Pickford’s “mad skilz” as a researcher and historian consist of locating a few census images and taking a quick pass through digitized newspapers. She then takes what little she finds, misinterprets what she doesn’t misread, studiously avoids critical thinking, and sews it all together into a crazy quilt of errors, confusion, blather, and braggadocio, not a single word of which any reader fill find duplicated on “Nita Naldi, Silent Vamp.”

To sum it up: there are poodles out there who better historians than Hala Pickford.

10 Things You May Not Know About Hala Pickford & 1921 PVG Publishing

1.  "Hala Pickford" does NOT exist. "Hala Pickford" is one of the many aliases that Katie Lynn Birchard uses to spread hate, libel & slander, homophobia, & lies via the internet and in print.  Some of her other, more notable aliases include, "Hala Kitty," "Hala Kuromi," & "Kaja Mundy."

2.  1921 PVG Publishing is NOT a legitimate business.  1921 PVG Publishing does not operate under any legitimate business license, L.L.C. or corporation in the State of California according to a recent, exhaustive records search.  In addition, no Tax ID information or any other information can be found indicating that 1921 PVG Publishing is anything more than a tacky website and a figment of Katie Lynn Birchard's warped imagination.

3.  On September 17th, 2010, Katie Lynn Birchard lost a $100,000 (One-Hundred Thousand Dollar) lawsuit, in which she was deemed to have publicly libeled Rudolph Valentino Authority, Tracy Terhune. The judge ruled in favor of Terhune after "...clear and convincing evidence" was presented in the slam-dunk case against Birchard.

4.  1921 PVG Publishing has pushed back the release date of nearly 80% of its' titles more than 9 months.  Three of 1921 PVG Publishing's 2010 titles have been on hold for more than six months. One of Birchard's own titles has been promised for the better part of a year with only a TBA in 2011 release date currently listed, even after accepting pre-order payments for the aforementioned title.

5. Katie Lynn Birchard was accused of physical battery after allegedly assaulting a prominent silent-film community member at a film screening in Hollywood. A restraining order was subsequently granted to protect the victim from Birchard.

6. 1921 PVG Publishing and some of Birchard's other websites/blogs recently had their websites shut down for a lack of web-hosting services payments.

7.  Katie Lynn Birchard is a High-School dropout with no college education. This is known because of her own self-admission and also assumed because of her lack of grammatical and spelling skills in the English language.

8.  Including the 1921 PVG Publishing website, Katie Lynn Birchard owns/operates in excess of a dozen websites and blogs, many of which are created for the sole purpose of destroying the character of many prominent and well-respected people in the entertainment industry.  Many of these people "intimidate" Birchard because of their long-standing roles in specific areas of interest that interest her.  Her character assassination techniques are in an attempt to level the playing field to give her a leg up in these areas.

9.  Katie Lynn Birchard is a self-professed mega-star.  Over the past several years, she has boasted to having a plethora of professions including:  Singer ("Hala Kitty" / "Hala Kuromi"), Songwriter ("Hala Kitty"), Publisher, (1921 PVG Publishing "Owner") Author ("Hala Pickford"), Comedienne ("Hala Pickford"), Record Label Owner (O-Diamond Records), Screenwriter (?), Actress (?), Record Producer ("Hala Kitty"), Silent-Film Authority ("Hala Pickford").

10.  Katie Lynn Birchard has not held down a legitimate job in years.  The last real job in which she paid taxes and went to work was at a local mall in the Orlando, Florida area.  She lives off a small pittance of money that her grandmother, Edith sends to her each month. Her only other source of income is provided to her when she can fool someone into believing that one of her books are worth reading or that her Rudolph Valentino Society is somehow worth joining. Vintage "Hala Kitty" Track Discovered! (Hala Pickford)

By now, you're probably being serenaded tortured by the sweet sounds of "Hala Kitty" from the player at the bottom of our page.  "Hala Pickford" has always been a phenomenal  terrible, wanna-be performer. Here, again the proof is in the "pudding." Her Global flop, "I Kissed Ben (Bledsoe)" and others were so terrible, that when she submitted them for consideration to participate in the 2007 Florida Music Festival, the selection committee actually wanted her to perform; all as a joke, of course.  In 2007, the Orlando Sentinel ran this piece, publicly humiliating the wanna-be popstress and sending her into a public fit on several of her blogs. Amid all the night soil that’s to be expected from any cattle call, I happened upon something special. Now, everyone knows about Orlando’s platinum lineage of pop stars. It’s a source of pride … blink, blink … really. But I’m on to the next great white hope. Her name? Hala Kitty. I’ve experienced the glory but all the words in my well-guarded dictionary wouldn’t be able to capture it. Just go... listen for yourself... and succumb. From production values to sheer vocal display, this is just pure awesomeness. Though I voted for her, consider this my formal plea to the festival’s organizers to put her in. Guys, I’m thinkin’ entertainment gold..."

The Last Laugh Is On Hala Pickford; Duped Into Believing Fake Rudolph Valentino Signature Is Real

Recently, we've come across a plethora of alarming details indicating fraud in regards to Hala Pickford's sham of a film festival/society, dedicated to her favorite obsession, Rudolph Valentino.  She's obviously misrepresented the festival from the very beginning, including the date it is supposedly happening/has happened which varies depending on which website/blog you stumble upon.   No one has ever seen a public accounting of where the society dues are spent.  According to Pickford, society membership has many benefits, including discounts on her trashy Valentino trinkets, availability of advance festival tickets for a festival that has had more date changes than you can imagine and other useless garbage.

Given the fact that Hala has trashed on every other Rudolph Valentino authority, including Tracy Terhune and many other prominent Valentino authors, claiming they have done terrible research, you'd  want to believe that she herself would have researched her own affairs in better detail.  Terhune has written a fabulous book on Valentino, also owning one of the most extensive and sought after, museum-quality Valentino memorabilia collections in the world, but Pickford, at the ripe old age of 23, would have you believe that everyone else is "loony" and she is the all-knowing when it comes to the subject.

Below is the original Rudolph Valentino photo that Hala "borrowed" and the FAKE Valentino Autograph that she copied from a Google search & gave to her artist, Kate, whom came up with this terrible machination of his image.  This artist rendering looks more like a drag-queen advertisement than a logo for the famed actor. The shading is terrible and the form is garbage, but Pickford "...screamed with glee" when she saw the finished product, claiming that "there could not be a more perfect logo for Rudy."  She probably should have screamed in horror.  Keep in mind that Pickford had no idea that she had even taken a forged signature.  She probably will not realize that her own "research" is in error unless she stumbles upon this report herself.

Below are several true specimens of Rudolph Valentino's authentic signature.  You will notice many differences, including the fact that the "V" in Valentino is rounded and never pointed.  You will also notice that Valentino never closes the "a" in Valentino and that the "R" in Rudolph is much different as well.  We had all  of these signatures, including the fake examined by one of the top Autograph Clearinghouses in the USA and they pointed out the same things, also noting that the "pen pressure" appeared to be different in the fake as well.  All of these discrepancies in the fake signature explain why it's been for sale for over 2 years without a buyer.  It's not fooling anyone but Hala Pickford.  The proof is in the pudding and once again she's  clearly mistaken shit for pudding.  Don't take our word for it. Hala Pickford Publicly Admits To Being A Hooker?

Now, we aren't quite sure what the significance is, as we've always suspected it was the truth, but for some reason or another, Hala Pickford has decided to upload her very own theme song to The Rudolph Valentino Society page.  That's right folks, The song, "Hooker" has been added as a permanent part of her very professional erratic website.

Now, you might be saying to yourself, "...but that song is very inappropriate, and uses the "fuck" word in nearly every stanza."  You might also be asking what her being a hooker has to do with Rudolph Valentino. or a prestigious society "focused" on his life.  We aren't sure how to explain it either, especially since this is the very same page in which she begs for money and membership dues on.  I know I'd surely never plunk down my last dime to support a website that focuses on these kinds of things!  When push comes to shove, it's clearly all about "Hala Pickford" and not the facade she puts up in pathetic attempts to hide that.

SPOTTED! - Hala Pickford At Local Gay/Lesbian Diner In Hollywood

Hala Pickford was recently spotted by one of our readers at "Kitchen 24," a local Gay/Lesbian diner in Hollywood.  As we always enjoy, she discreetly snapped a couple of photos for us.  The most interesting thing wasn't the fact that Hala was at a gay/lesbian establishment, or that she was stuffing her face with a double order of Fajitas, but that she was allegedly there with her "gal pal"  and the two allegedly spent half of dinner making out and sharing desert.  According to our insider, 

"...Hala and her gal pal were really getting friendly over a double order of fajitas.  Initially I thought her pal was a male, but upon further inspection, I noticed a large set of breasts. Hala is definitely the more effeminate one of the two.  ...they each had a large helping of banana cream pie and left hand-in-hand..."

I must applaud our reader, as the mere thought of watching Hala Pickford in any sort of sexual situation makes us want to vomit up last weeks' lunch, let alone trying to stomach todays'.

Why Hala Pickford's "The Rudolph Valentino Film Festival" Is A Scam

For the better part of 18 months, we have all been hearing about Hala's latest & greatest "masterpiece," "The Rudolph Valentino Film Festival."  The festival, which was purported to be happening in May, 2010 flopped, like the rest of Hala Pickford's many projects.  The festival and its' haphazard and ever-changing dates and details have been spread around the world wide web like a bad case of herpes.  According to one website, geared towards film makers, Hala's festival has already happened.  We are avoiding posting the link to the site because, contrary to the many lies she told in court, she's posted her home address and telephone number there.

What's interesting about the info on that site, however, is that on top of being advertised as a month-long event, she is charging a $15.00 "submission fee" for each filmmaker that would like to have his/her film considered for use at the festival.  The problem with this is that the festival isn't happening, so to ask people to pay a fee for an event that isn't happening would be fraud.  The following was taken from the "official" website for Ms. Pickford's festival.  Keep in mind that this info has been the same for over 6 months.

"Hello everyone!  You may have noticed the site is temporarily down.  That's because we are currently working on confirming the venues and our new date, which will take place in Autumn 2010 here in Hollywood.

Never fear Rudy Fest is still happening!  We were offered a wonderful last minute venue for May but due to some setbacks the decision was made to postpone the festival so we will have a little more time to gather funding and submissions.

Check back soon for submissions call, our new date, and our new venue!  If you want to be alerted automatically, make sure to join our mailing list.

We'll be back ;)."

Now, we aren't rocket scientists, but Autumn, 2010 was over 4 months ago.  Where did all of the submission fees for this event go?  We are assuming that they went into the same bank account that all of the pre-order money for all the 1921 PVG Publishing books that never come out went.  We'd imagine that all of that money went into the same bank account that the Rudolph Valentino Society dues went into.   More than likely the same bank account tied to the store where Pickford "hocks her wares" of cheap ripoff Valentino mugs, key chains and the like.  We are, of course, talking about the bank account of Katie Lynn Birchard.  "Hala Pickford's" legal name.

According to the aforementioned website, here are the fine details of the festival.  Our notes are in RED.

MISSION & OBJECTIVE

ABOUT THE FESTIVAL
Founded by The Rudolph Valentino Society (Hala Pickford) the Rudolph Valentino Film Festival Scam was created with 3 missions in mind:

*To promote the films of Rudolph Valentino  Hala Pickford.

*To promote silent films Hala Pickford to new audiences

*To promote new and promising filmmakers who wish to make the best films possible  Hala Pickford & 1921 PVG Publishing.

Our month long (MONTH LONG?) event will be held at a Hollywood, CA theatre which will be announced in August 2010.  (You're a little late, sweetheart.) A grand spectacle our festival will feature many lectures, signings, shorts, contests, and belly dancers! (Hala Pickford has a LOT of belly.) It will be a film festival to remember! (Like ALL Natural Disasters!)

GENERAL RULES
Though we have a focus on promoting the art of silent film we are NOT A SILENT FILM ONLY festival. ALL TYPES OF FILM ARE WELCOME! Below is what we are looking for:

Short Films:

We are looking for several short films, under 30 minutes in length.

Feature Indie Films:

We are looking for 2 independent films of feature length (1-2 hours long) to showcase.

Any filmmaker may submit, be the a youtuber or Academy Award winning artist.  (We are very sure that Academy Award winning film makers are just lined up at your door, Hala!) All ages are welcome and young filmmakers are especially encouraged to submit. We will have both standard projection and digital projection. Our focus is on good solid films, the best of the best no matter where they come from. Valentino believed in finding art in film, and we are glad to promote his legacy by encouraging it.

The Art Deco Society Of Los Angeles Deems Hala Pickford "Unreliable"

We were recently contacted by a member of the Los Angeles Art Deco Society whom let us know that we were right on target with our assessment of  "Hala Pickford."  Our Art Deco insider tells us that "Hala" started showing up at meetings and became a member of the Society, presenting herself as a "mover-and-shaker."  The insider tells us that "Hala" volunteered for multiple projects only to bail on her commitment to each one at the last minute, claiming she "didn't have money for gas," thought it was "too far to drive" or that it was "too early in the morning."  Our insider tells us that "Hala" was completely unreliable and whenever she would volunteer for a project, they would smile and get someone else as well, knowing that she would be a no-show.

Our insider alleges that the society became aware of "Hala's" legal wranglings in mid-2010 and have decided that it is best to separate themselves as much as possible from Ms. "Pickford." Like many others, the Los Angeles Art Deco Society is afraid to confront "Hala" in any way for fear that she will use fraud and character assassination techniques to attempt to destroy the Societies credibility.  As is typical, more and more people are distancing themselves from "Hala," perceiving her to be mentally unstable, and because no one seems to want to be tied to her in any way.

Hala Pickford Viciously Attacks Nita Naldi Biographers

While most of "Hala Pickford's" websites, blogs and fan-fictions sit dormant and unattended for weeks or even months at a time, don't believe for a second that Pickford isn't showing her ugly face somewhere behind-the-scenes.  Her latest attack viciously targets renowned Nita Naldi biographers and their website, (www.NitaNaldi.com) which has set the Gold-Standard in preserving the memory and accurate biography of the famed silent-film actress.

As per her usual Modus Operandi, "Hala Pickford" has made every attempt to capitalize on the massive success and attention of real artistic craftsmanship, claiming that it has somehow been "stolen" from her.  Upon the launch of the definitive Naldi site, "Pickford" began a libelous tirade on the Nitrateville Silent-Film forums accusing the Naldi biographers of "...ripping off" Pickford's work.  These tirades were almost immediately eradicated from the forum, and a stern message was privately sent to Pickford, warning her that this kind of behaviour would not be tolerated.

After the dismal failure of Pickford's attempts to slander the good names of the www.NitaNaldi.com biographers in respected Silent-Film forums, she upped the ante by publicly harassing them on her own blogs/websites as well as filing a fraudulent DMCA Complaint with the web-hosting company for NitaNaldi.com, the official Nita Naldi website, over the Christmas Holiday.  "Pickford" falsely accused the Nita Naldi biographers of intellectual property theft and demanded the immediate removal of the website.  Please note that less than 24 hours after receiving Pickford's phony complaint, the web-hosting company officially dismissed it.  Below is an excerpt from the laughable "complaint" Pickford filed:

"They stole this stuff in their biography (LINK REMOVED) filmography (LINK REMOVED) and then went to great lengths to put up a copyright claim: (LINK REMOVED) I was perturbed enough, but the copyright page sent me over the edge."

What makes Hala Pickford's false accusations against the Naldi biographers so interesting is that Pickford herself has long been publicly accused of Copyright Theft for her allegedly illegal reproduction of the book, Rudolph Valentino: A Wife's Memories of an Icon, originally written by Rudolph Valentino's second wife, Natacha Rambova.  In Pickford's complaint, she sources the aforementioned book as her "stolen stuff."  Keep in mind that this is the very book Pickford is accused of stealing herself and admits to reproducing.  Pickford has contended that the book is public domain, therefore not falling under copyright restrictions, but upon further investigation, it was discovered that the books' copyright is not public domain, but owned by Ann Wollen, an elderly cousin of Natacha Rambova and that the book is indeed under copyright protection.

It has not been lost to us, how quickly Pickford's asinine and laughable accusations were so quickly and officially dismissed based upon nothing but a cursory glance at both websites.  Less than 24 hours after receiving Pickford's complaint, she received a letter back with the following:  DENIED. 

   

www.NitaNaldi.com is a well-sourced tribute to Nita Naldi, beautifully written and thoughtfully laid out, whereas Hala Pickford's webpage on Naldi is littered with spelling and grammatical errors, clumsy layout and incomplete/inaccurate information.  It's very easy to see who's ripping off who.
